Here are the main ideas in this course:
- There are two ways to live when it comes to gratitude: You either live with an active appreciation for the people, events and circumstances of your life, or you don’t. Ultimately, it’s a choice to live either way, and if you don’t consciously choose to live the first way, you are in effect making the choice to live the second way.
- Gratitude is an anabolic or life-giving emotion.
- Gratitude displaces catabolic or life-destroying emotions.
- Experiencing and expressing gratitude is first a choice and second a skill.
Completing this course can help you:
- Cultivate a willingness to look for gifts and blessings in everything – including in the most difficult aspects of your life.
- Make or renew a commitment to live with gratitude.
- Develop at least one practice related to gratitude.
