The things that you get fired for when you are young are the exact same things that you win lifetime achievement awards when you are old, which is to say that the things that run against the grain, that are not common or not logical, or don’t fit into what is the standard approach, that if you do survive and get that across…. You have to realize, especially when you are struggling to have some sort of success that the things that get you in trouble are the things that are remembered as being exceptional.
