Heaven and earth are one. / Myself and the cosmos are one. / All lives are one. / They have the same root. / They have but a single body.

Surrender, let Silence have you. Surrender to the source.

I do not act, People change by themselves. I like to remain quiet.

When meditation is mastered, the mind is unwavering like the flame of a lamp in a windless place.

When the winds of change blow, some people build walls and others build windmills.

In matters of conscience, the law of the majority has no place.

Get yourself out of the way, and let joy have more space.

The world is indeed a mixture of truth and make believe. Discard the make believe and take the truth.

O fool, do something, so you won’t just stand there looking dumb. If you are not traveling and on the road, how can you call yourself a guide?

If a man lives a pure life, nothing can destroy him. If he has conquered greed, nothing can limit his freedom.

The most important thing in life is to wake up to who you truly are. Nothing on this earth or in the heavenly realms can overwhelm or overcome you when you know who you truly are.

From virtue arises happiness.

However you try to define meditation, it’s not that.

Truth is not to be found outside. No teacher, no scripture can give it to you. It is inside you and if you wish to attain it, seek your own company. Be with yourself.

We do not learn by experience, but by our capacity for experience.

It is man that makes truth great, not truth that makes man great.

Are you and I perchance caught up in a dream from which we have not yet awakened?

When we accept life as it is, we can respond appropriately to the way we’re experiencing it, rather than just reacting out of fear and aversion.

In all of our thoughts and actions, we must be conscious of the infinite.

Sow love, reap peace. Sow meditation, reap wisdom.

When all your desires are distilled, / You will cast just two votes: To love more, / And be happy.

Joy is eternal, it will never die: sorrow is illusory, it will never live.

Your life is simply flowering unfolding by itself…. Come to recognize the simplicity of all this and bask in immutable joy.

We should behave like a guest in this world. We should always remember that we are guests and that we have to return home.

If you are free from your own mind and senses, nothing can bind you. Then you are really free.

One path leads outward and the other inward. You can walk the way outward that leads to pleasure or the way inward that leads to grace.

We have plenty of time during the twenty four hours of the day for our domestic duties, for our business and our worries, so surely we can take a few minutes to refresh ourselves inwardly.

Arouse your will, supreme and great, / Practice love, give joy and protection; / Let your giving be like space, / Without discrimination or limitation.

Anything which makes you powerless should be discarded as quickly as possible.

There is no way that we can understand it all. So the heart’s response to that mystery is faith—a trust in the fundamental orderliness of the universe.
